A celebration of Geoffrey Hallam's life

Created 3 years ago

Sadly we won't be able to hold the funeral that Geoff deserves because of the current pandemic and its restrictions.  We are limiting the attendance of the ceremony to his close family members.

There will be a live link so that you can pay your respects and watch the funeral from your home.  Click on this link to find out how to watch the live broadcast

We are planning a cortege that will gather at Bass Museum in the main car park.  We are encouraging people to jump into their vintage vehicle and pay their respects by following Geoff on his final journey.  If you want to join the cortege please arrive at the museum by 11.15am for departure at 11.30am. The cortege will travel through Burton, Stapenhill and up to Bretby. Geoffs Godson 'Lee Sidwells' will lead the cortege on his 1898 Fowler Steam Roller the last stretch into the crematorium, accompanied by David Sidwells and Mark Rackham on Vintage Tractors. We plan for the cortege to follow and disperse in the car park at Bretby Crematorium.  We have to follow restrictions and maintain a 2m social distance at all times.

The funeral was conducted by:
